A weekend to celebrate our East Coast Blues and Blues Rock! Nothing but East Coast for 2013!!!!! This grass-roots event strives to provide a "musical stay-cation" for those in the region while showcasing the talent that we are proud to call our own to those visiting the East Coast and bringing their dollars and love of blues to our communities. The best part about this event, other than the music, is THE PRICE. Bring your own food, your own drinks, chairs, coolers, pets on leashes, etc. We want you to have fun, support live music and not go broke in the process. We want you to support and acknowledge our sponsors and we want you to be part of something that is going to grow each year. All of the Performers are chosen because of their quality, attitude and willingness to help make this event succeed. Performing acts/sponsors to be officially announced once schedules are confirmed. In the meantime, anyone that has been there knows it's worth starting to spread the word to friends already for next year. See you at SMOKIN' BLUES FEST 3. The 2013 All Star Lineup... After two high-energy shows in Halifax in the past year Dublin Vinyl and Back Pocket Material team up again this time at Governor's Pub in Sydney. More info coming.
Dublin Vinyl is Halifax's newest high energy live band. The group mixes gritty blues rock with a martime flavour. With a handful of originals the band plays an eclectic mix of covers from artists such as Colin James, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, Blue Rodeo, the Allman Brothers Band and many, many more. This will be a homecoming gig for bassist Collin Burke so it's bound to be a hell of a party... and don't forget the dancing shoes.
Mike Elliott, Scott Taylor, Robbie Smith, Bruce Reid and Matt Swim play a rip roaring St. Patty’s day concert. Special guests Dublin Vinyl unplugged featuring Steve Elliott, Anthony Phillips, Andrew Hill and Colin Burke. Wear something green.
It's been almost a year but Dublin Vinyl returns to the bar where they hosted plenty of wild shows in the autumn of 2011 and beginning of 2012. Keeping a party atmosphere the band will be taking the Kitchen Party approach with special guests and jam sessions. This will be a fun one.
Manager: Elliott / Hill / Burke / Phillips
