Join us in peaceful protest to throw a Boogie on behalf of the primates. Featuring Toby2shoes, Trenton and Free Radical, RatRod Cats, Very Ape, Tombstone Pete, DownOnTheFirst, Lyderkane, Parking Ponies, Amy-Lu Crew and our creative performers - the second installment of letting the world know that our baboons are a precious heritage, and we don't take their destruction lightly! Authorities are using euthanasia as a solution to the baboon problem in Cape Town. We want to urge authorities to find alternativ es to euthanasia and implement these alternatives. This will reduce the conflict between humans and baboons and immediately save the lives of the two baboons, Force and Merlin, who are currently on death row. The aim is for authorities to see there is a groundswell growing in support of alternate methods being found, and to boogie the night away in the process! Dress in your craziest jungle book outfits!! Prizes for the best dressed (and you get ten bucks off the cover)! Tickets will be available on webtickets, or at the door. Profits will be earmarked for the establishment of a Peninsula baboon rehabilitation centre. Baboon Matters, Baboon Research Unit and Tombstone Pete will be sharing their baboon stories.
