"Presenting Southwest Washington's Country dance band, DOUBLEBACK. All of these musicians have come together and bring their many years of experience, talents, and love of music to a dance floor near you with a bunch of energy, top notch harmonies, smiles, and pure good old fashion fun! We have too many influences to list, but here is a short list of them: We are big fans of the Bakersfield Sound, Texas swing, Honky Tonk, Blues and Classic Rock. Dwight Yoakam, Dale Watson, Alan Jackson, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, George Strait, The Derailers, and more!”

“Hellllooooo friday night! Smokin’ hot country music by the Doubleback Band! If you love country you will love this band! These guys have a great country groove that doesn’t let you sit still. When singer Dale Britton starts up you will think you are listening to Ronnie Dunn or Randy Houser. Guitar licks both tight and lazy to match your favorite country hits and pedal steel that’ll make your heart crinkle just a bit. $5 gets you in for a boot-scootin’ good time. It’s Surf’s Up Friday Night so you can come for a seafood dinner (see our menu), served up until 9:30pm, or dance lessons with Dianna from 6:30-7:30, and we’ll have gourmet pizza hot and fresh out of our brick oven until 11pm. check out the band ahead of time by watching this video: DoublebackDemoVideo001TacomaProductions.mov 72,208.0 KB”

“REAL COUNTRY…CHECK! Although I have had groups here with influences of country I can now check off ‘real country’ from my studio bucket list. Local band Doubleback Country Band from Olympia Washington has just finished their album here at South Sound Sound, recorded, mixed and mastered. This has been one of the funnest projects for me, although I probably always say that because quite frankly all the projects that I work on are fun. I feel very fortunate to have great people to work with in the studio, it makes my job gratifying and this project was no exception. Dale Britton and the guys were very gracious with their time and effort, and I think the end resulting product is great. I wanted to do a follow-up little story on this so that you could hear a sample of the actual project that’s going to press as we speak for duplication. Watch their website regularly and check-in so you can get your copy soon and support the bands music.”

“Our first CD is almost ready for release. The master is done and now it's just up to packaging and distribution. Electronic copies should be available sooner. Perhaps as early as February this year!! Stay tuned for the official release, it has twelve songs on it, three of which are originals and we hope you like them. This project has been in the works for some time now and after MANY requests for a CD, you will finally have it soon. We had a blast doing it and now I'm officially broke! So please buy one when it comes out, and I can buy some guitar strings! ;o)”

“DoubleBack Hits an ‘In the Park Homerun’”

"DOUBLEBACK HITS AN ‘IN THE PARK HOMERUN" Mid October is the time of the year when sports fans have their sights set on what is going on with Major League Baseball…but not me. For me it’s the time to figure out the best way to engineer a full-on country dance band called DOUBLEBACK.

“Benefit for Reggie - Lady Luck’s Cowgirl Up Steakhouse and Saloon Sunday Jam - Noon - 8 PM Our friend and fellow musician Reggie Griffith has been undergoing treatment for a brain cancer. Since March of this year he has not been able to work and the bills are piling up and he needs our help. Please make plans to attend this very worthwhile event and help us give deserved support to a brother and dear friend of ours. He has played in many bands here locally over the years and we are so fortunate to have him now with us in the Doubleback Band and I know that with our help and support we will have him for many more years to come. Lorraine (owner of the Lady Luck) has already been so gracious and giving to offer her club and proceeds from food sales to get the fund raising started, and we all can help this along and follow in her awesome and caring example. Terri Widener and my wife Gini Britton are co-coordinating this event so feel free to contact either on facebook or just contact”

“MARK YOUR CALENDARS - Friday September 14, DOUBLEBACK will be at the Old General Store (OGS) in Roy 8 PM – midnight Mark & Dianna are re-opening the OGS!!!! Many people have asked them about this and I know many of us have dreamed of this and it's back! Everyone knows our local honky-tonks have been drying up and Mark & Dianna want to help. So here's the deal, they are opening the OGS to us all one night a week (Fridays) as a "dinner and a show" concept. • The bands are going to work for the door; which means, the cover charge at the door goes directly to the band. No more - no less. • A caterer will be there to provide food and will work for the proceeds they get from the dinners sold, • OGS will work for the proceeds from the bar sales. We think this is a wonderful concept and want to do what we can to make this successful. DOUBLEBACK will be the band to "kick this off" and many of the other local bands are also stepping up. Help us make this a success!!!”
