Dirty Diamond And The Gunslinger / Press

“Well if you can imagine if Johnny Cash, Keith Richards, Johnny Lee Hooker and Robert Johnson met up and got drunk, then once the booze was finished they picked up their guitars - we’d kind of sound like that.”

“Some say the Blues died along with all the great names from yesteryear – well, Dirty Diamond and The Gunslinger found the old gravestone, dug it up, and injected a new life into the old boy”

Daily Blues

"...some say that the ghost of Robert Johnson sits in and jams with these guys"

“On a cold day in December 2010 I (Dirty Al) woke up to a note saying my baby was leaving me, so I called up my buddy Pablo who told me he’d just lost his job. We got together to drown our sorrows over a bottle of whisky but on the way to the bar we passed a guy down on his luck playing drums for money in the street. We then found a bum playing Bass in return for anything and a Harmonica player with nothing to lose. We decided to pick up our guitars and join them and tell the world about our woes.”
