“A sold out Barfly on a Saturday night is the place to see the Essex four piece band Dead Cannons. They come on to a great reception and open with Share Good Happening, the crowd quickly warm up and it's clear to see early on that, they are something different. The lead singer Tom Disley's voice is extremely powerful, very versatile and has hints of Maverick Sabre in style. Combine this with well timed, tight playing and up tempo music, you have something quite unique. Tom also plays piano front on, which is very rare to see, but the electro piano beats works and compliments clear bass lines, with ripping guitars & pounding drums. Their fifth song in, K Song, is taken to another level when played live. The standout track from their LP Love Music Collective, does draw comparisons to Two Door Cinema Club, but is in no way trying to copy mainstream music, but instead create a different style. It starts with an electro beat, with a kicking guitar melody coming in and the band”
