Q: How do you write? Do you write lyrics first and find a beat, or do you find the beat first and then create lyrics? Would you be interested in doing a short interview?

A: Every song is a little different. Sometimes I am noodling around on the guitar and the groove or chord voicings start to tell me a story. In that case I just try to write the lyrics to what I am seeing in the music. The story is there somewhere. Other times I will write the lyrics to my life and find the colors and textures to create the soundscape that fits the story appropriately. Thanks for reaching out and I would love to talk more in depth with you. Just say when ... :)
