Valerie and David / Press

“this is a review from an acoustic set we performed in Ft.Myers.......... David and his bride of five years Val were fabulous openers for Patchouli on April 11th. David lived up to his half of the show wearing his Smother Brothers red jacket that Val made. David’s songs were all well-crafted and presented beautifully with Val, and with the help of Frances on piano. But what we all walked away with is the rapport they have on stage together. More than one person felt it was reminiscent of Burns & Allen. Some of David’s songs were written for Wife’s one & two, but Val laughed it off and claimed the songs as her own.”

“Pine Island is known as home for many talented musicians and songwriters as well as attracting world class acts from near and far. This weeks spotlight is on David Dean. David Dean has been belting out tunes on and off the island for over 6 years.Originally hailing from the Chicago area, Dean now makes his home in NE Cape Coral, Fl. He frequently appears with his friend and saxophone player, Johnny Ray who is also no stranger to the island. When appearing together they are the "Tequila Kids". David Dean has allso appeared with Johnny Ray and Gary Bellaire as "The Hurricanes". Deans unique one-of-a-kind vocal delivery has thrilled audiences with his seemingly effortless glides from 50's,60's,70's,country and classic rock.”
