David arrived on this planet in Brooklyn, NY in 1955, and started playing guitar when he was 12 y/o. He had eclectic influences and in the early going these influences included The Beatles, Hermon’s Hermits, Dave Clark 5, and The Rolling Stones. In his later teen years, his attraction to the Motown sound was undeniable. By the time he reached his early 20s, David’s tastes began to mellow a bit with more acoustic sounds of James Taylor, Cat Stevens, and Bob Dylan. At the same time, there was a force drawing him towards the guitar Gods of the late 60s – mid-70s…Hendrix, Clapton, Santana, among others. Out of this grew an appreciation for progressive sounds of Emerson, Lake, & Palmer, Yes, and King Crimson. Throughout these periods, David was never content in replicating somebody else’s material, though there was plenty of cover tune indulgence. Original compositions were always being created. Composing, arranging, and recording in the Classic Rock, Blues, and Fusion formats is now his only endeavor and has been for many years.
