Cahuenga Blvd., 90028 Peace and blessings, Davey G. www.myspace.com/daveygproject www.facebook.com/daveygprojectfans www.youtube.com/daveygproject www.twitter.com/daveygproject ------- * Proceeds from this show will support my friend Vanessa's 2 week old son, Vincent. ~ Additional Details: On the morning of 3/26/10, my friend and former colleague, Vanessa Duran, died while in labor in Los Angeles. Her baby, Vincent, survived, but has been placed in foster care awaiting the decision made during his upcoming custody and placement hearings to determine whether he will stay in Los Angeles to be raised or go to live with his relatives in the Philippines. Vanessa was an incredibly generous soul with a steadfast positive attitude who made an impact on so many lives. She was a teacher and community leader at Dominguez High School in Compton for 10 years and managed to provide scholarships to a number of students in the Philippines to go to college each year. When many of these students asked to repay her upon graduation, she refused to accept their money, and instead, told them to pay it forward by providing financial assistance to other kids looking to get a college education in the Philippines. Vanessa gave so much to so many, and asked for so little in return. She will be remembered, and her baby, Vincent, deserves support.
