Dave Jeanes / Bio

I was writing poetry when I was 7 or 8. Writing songs when I was 14, formed a band, "Whispering Aggression" when I was 15, - we didn't get anywhere. Since that time I have always written; songs & scripts, plays and books. I played keyboards originally but taught myself to play the acoustic guitar, which I love. I've had radio plays (Steve Wright said I was, "Hard to categorize") and won a special merit award for Unisong contest in 1996 with the song, "Love Will Find A Way". In 2000, Peoplesound gave me £100 and put me on their site, - whatever happened to them? ReverbNation have promoted me beyond my wildest dreams; sometimes as a writer, you indulge yourself too much. ReverbNation brings everything into sharp focus, it seems like hard work to me but then, Vincent Van Gogh gives you a picture of some sunflowers and what are you going to do? I'm with Flaubert, "Le bon dieu est dans les details" God is in the details. Basically, if something's worth doing it's worth doing thoroughly. I'm happy with the way it's all going. I hope you're happy too. X
