BiographyCurtis Jordan, a young man, an exceptional singer and a child of God. His voice is compared to the smoothness of Smokie Nortful, and the energy Micah Stampley, yet his personality and lifestyle of worship is eminent in this refreshing new sound of Curtis Jordan. Born on June 16th, 1987,and lives on the Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. This Dynamic, Talented and highly Anointed young man,gave his life to the lord at the age of fifteen, and the anointing of God that is upon his life has only increased since then. Anyone would agree that the Future of Gospel music in the Caribbean is in safe hands after being in Curtis's presence, on and off the stage. Curtis currently is a member of Deliverance Temple International where he serves as the choir director, but he started his journey in 2003 at the Arima Deliverance Temple Church as his Pastor, Rev Roger Mendez’s personal assistant then joining the Choir. It was there, that his talent and musical ability was discovered. God has truly blessed this young man and opened a door for him to be a part of a popular Gospel band that is led by one of Trinidad & Tobago’s top female vocalist, Melissa “Precious” Browne. He has been writing his own music from the age of eighteen and performing Live across Trinidad and Tobago, but in 2009 he recorded and released his first R&B Gospel single "Trust Me" that rocked the airwaves of the Caribbean, and is now the Christian household anthem. In June 2010, Curtis released another heart stirring hit “ALiVE” that took Caribbean Gospel music to another level. He was nominated and had the opportunity to perform at all three nights of the Marlin Awards (Caribbean Gospel Awards) that took place in the Bahamas. In November 2010, he was nominated and won the award in the area of Gospel music at the Top 20 stars of Tomorrow Awards hosted by NYAC in Trinidad. In the year 2012 Curtis Jordan took home two awards at TTGA (Trinidad & Tobago Gospel Awards) for “Best Male Vocalist” and “Song of the Year”, then he released his first Official EP Album “Just the beginning" which truly paved the way for this most current album “Heaven Speaks”, which was launched in October 2013 with a Grand Red Carpet Event. The word of this new album has been spreading throughout the Caribbean, US, UK and Latin America like a wild fire. Curtis Jordan is the founder and manager of the Caribbean Gospel Tour in which he conducted the first successful regional tour “Dare 2 Be Different" in the month of August 2012 and was aired on Rise & Shine on MTV TEMPO. The regional tour 2013 was called “LIVIN’ WORSHIP” which kicked off in the month of May 2013 and has been a step up from the previous. In April 2014, the news came out that Curtis was nominated for three (3) Caribbean Gospel Marlin Awards ; the premier and most respected award event in the region.
The 3rd Annual Caribbean Gospel Tour 2014 “Sons Of Thunder” is on the horizon , in which Mr. Jordan will be taking Gospel Artists from across the Caribbean and exposing their ministry in territories that have never heard them. Curtis Jordan is called the man on a mission, who loves God and is passionate about seeing souls come to know Christ.
