“Proof that jazz isn't just for us old folks will be presented at Dagny's Coffee Company in Bakersfield tonight, as the jazz and funk band Colorblind makes an appearance at 7 PM. The 5 piece unit of high school and college students have been playing more and more gigs around town. They'll be doing a mix of jazz and funk standards as well as some of their original compositions. The band consists of Michael Ware (guitar), Brent Williams (trumpet), Tony Rinaldi (piano), Adam Zanoff (bass), and Charlie Paulsen (drums). All of them are frequent regulars at the Bakersfield Jazz Workshop, participating in the BJW's Improvisational Jazz class to improve their skills and the BJW's weekly jam session to hone their chops.
