Composed in 2011, my composition "Three Flower Poems" for flute and piano will be performed by flutist Angela Reynolds and pianist Sara Bong. Inspired by Emily Dickinson and William Black's poems, those pieces reflect my deep appreciation and admiration of both poets' remarkable understanding of human emotions and feelings.
Pianists Hsin Ya Yeh, Chia Fang Wu, and Pei Hsun Joyce Hsieh will be performing two of my compositions ( Three Monkeys and Three Monks)written for six hands one piano. Originally written for my goddaughter, Phoebe, who premiered them along with her mother and I in 2009 and 2012 in Colorado, USA. "Monkeys" and "Monks" are traveling all the way this time to Yilan (my home town) for their Taiwan premieres!
World premiere of my composition "Mona," written for MAN Trio: Alesksandra Kopic, flute; Natasa Vukojevic, flute; and Milica Krstovic, piano. "Mona" describes a beautiful, mysterious girl who can light up an entire room with her smile. She is lovable, charming and spellbinding. Having met "Mona", she will linger in your thoughts and dreams – she is unforgettable. My concept for "Mona" was inspired by a pop tune from my childhood memories.
My original composition entitled "Impulse" for clarinet and piano duet will be premiered at the Vox Novus festival. This festival celebrates 15 years of new music and the programs that Vox Novus has founded and produced around the world.
