“BAND KICKS OFF 2015 TOUR AT SOPER REESE THEATRE IN LAKEPORT, CA By Jennifer Gruenke, Record- Bee Staff Jesse, Kyle and Jaden Crosson and Jacob and Connor Gill share more than just familial bonds. Three and a half years ago, the two sets of brothers joined forces to create indie rock band Cheating Daylight. And while this musical connection isn’t necessarily more powerful than their family ties, it’s certainly significant in its own way. “I really do think that brothers, when it comes to music, I think we know what we’re all thinking and we can communicate on a different level,” Jesse Crosson commented. The young rockers have some serious ambition. “This is my whole life, playing drums. It’s everything I’ve wanted to do since I was 6 and I’m 16 now,” said Jaden Crosson. “I plan on doing this the rest of my life, touring the country and making records … I would never want to do it with anyone else.”

“San Francisco – There is something to the age-old saying, “friends become our chosen family;” it inspires all of us to appreciate and love the people we surround ourselves with. But what happens when your family is your work? This trend has become increasingly popular over the years, especially in the realm of music. Bands like The National, HAIM, and Arcade Fire all share familial relations within their respective ranks. While at times the family connection can be troubling and difficult, ultimately it results in a collective bond that drives each outfit forward. When it comes down to it, blood ties lead to the most honest music, and the Bay Area’s Cheating Daylight looks to be the next installment in a long line of musically talented families. Cheating Daylight, who we discovered on ReverbNation, saw their synthesis when the three Crosson brothers joined forces with the two Gill brothers – under the diligent eye of shared manager Greg Bennett – and they have never look”

And there are still upcoming awards shows -- four in 2013 and early 2014 -- that are up for grabs, which makes manager Greg Bennett one happy grown-up. "They really are seasoned performers and road warriors, who are used to the bright lights," Bennett said. "They have appeared on so many red carpets and performed at so many legendary venues, they were prepared for an event of this magnitude."”
