Chaos Order / Press

" One thing is for sure punk and hardcore is making a swift comeback in Memphis scene as Chaos Order releases their latest single and music video for "Only the Past is Done." The local quintet was formed back in 2011, consisting of Jared Filsinger (bass), Austin Russell (guitar), Sam Davidson (drums), and Neal Bledsoe (vocals). Known for their fastpaced and energetic tunes, Chaos Order also comes with a heart of gold, helping to raise thousands for St. Jude. I highly recommend that you Get this CD now!"

“For Chaos Order, the accent is on "Order" during their practice sessions. "A lot of bands will probably get together and play music and drink and get high or whatever they do and that's fine," said Jared Filsinger, bass player and vocalist. "But, for us, we have a little ritual." Wearing T-shirts, shorts, mouth guards and in their bare feet, the band members practice martial arts, boxing and wrestling. "We have a whole room that's just mats and punching bags and stuff," Filsinger said. "We do that first." They then move into another room and work on their music until it's time to move to still another room. "Then we go work out together, like lift weights. It's not like a macho thing. Martial arts is an art like everything else. It's a positive release, how to deal with (unpleasant stuff). And I think that that energy comes through in the music." Theirs isn't a light martial arts session. "We get down to the floor," said Filsinger, who sported a cauliflower ear.”

“ “High-intensity.... body-slamming....stage-diving.... hard core metal. Period. For thrashers, shredders and riff benders of all walks…pay attention. Chaos Order comes at you with a purpose. Grabbing their fans and raising them to the epitome of self empowerment…They deliver their message through a screaming adventure with insanely seamless guitar runs, bass dropping melodies and heavy hitting drum licks that always find the pocket. This band’s energy will suck you in. Hardcore, Punk and Thrash met, dated and got married. I find myself cueing up “A Cross on the Wall” a lot because I want to take that ride to the next level with them.... and so do our fans.””
