“ First up on Sunday, 13-year-old singer/songwriter Carson Hill of Ansonville performed a selection of country and bluegrass music, including one of her original compositions, called "Run." Carson taught herself to play the guitar and mandolin. She is currently in the seventh grade and is homeschooled. “ Following Thacker’s speech, 13-year-old singer/songwriter Carson Hill of Ansonville sang the National Anthem, and Anson High School’s marching band performed a rousing series of fun songs that got some of the audience members singing along and dancing.
