Writers in the Round. So happy to be joining some of my favorite writers at this 60"s style coffeehouse that showcases local musicians.
Local musicians, bands, and singer-songwriters join together to raise money for sisters, Emma & Ruby! Emma (4 years old) and Ruby (18 months) were born with a progressive neuromuscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy, SMA. SMA is a cruel disease that affects the voluntary muscles that are used for crawling, walking, head and neck control and swallowing. SMA is a rare disorder that occurs in approximately 8 out of every 100,000 births. Emma and Ruby are happy, fun-loving, little girls who fight every day to do simple things. We are hoping to raise funds to pay for a $6000 wheelchair that Ruby needs but is not covered by insurance, and also to renovate the family's front door so both Ruby & Emma can roll out into a world without barriers. Minimum Donation Request: $20 at the door. Music, fun and food. To Donate on-line please visit http://www.gofundme.com/7r72qg
