Brothers By Law / Press

“If you like blues guitar, but you can't handle the monotony of the same blues song structures, this is a great band. I finally saw them open for Gary Clark, Jr. at Woodland's. Eric Clapton, who was at that show, agrees that the Brothers are a great band.”

“Brothers by Law boasts a sound filled out by 2 dueling blues guitarists, 3 sets of vocals, bass and drums. It's uncharacteristic coming from a handful of good looking white boys - polished and soulful, and packing a funk that I’m hoping this city can swallow. They've got a down-home and sweet demeanor, sneaky-mean slide guitar, and solid mix of bluesy originals and covers you're sure to enjoy. I got my sweet home Chicago fill - so if you're looking for yours, make sure to check out what I've deemed my new Columbus band to follow - Brothers by Law.”

“It’s no secret I’m a sucker for a good flier and can get pretty enthusiastic about a great one. Well, here’s one that lands right in between. The band: Brothers by Law. The catchphrase above the name: “Wednesdays at Tuesdays.” The even more informative three words above, in smaller font: “Rock Blues Soul.” The info is in black over, I believe, a NASA-supplied picture of a nebula in outer space (or a load of hurl in the corner of Bernie’s Distillery). Colorful, catchy, sharp.”

“It might be hard to convince skeptical outsiders, or natives for that matter, that Columbus could truly be titled a blues town. However, the boys from Brothers By Law are convinced that all the essentials are here and they're out to change that perception.”
