Q: Hi! I really love your music and story. You seem like an amazing person. I was wondering if you have any tips on getting started/noticed in the music industry. Thanks so much in advance and God bless.

A: Of course, Start a reverbnation page first, the next most important thing would be a facebook fan page followed by twitter and youtube. If you can afford to have your music recorded at a pro studio, do it. If you cant afford it start a kick starter campaign and get it funded, if you don't understand kickstarter buy the book and learn about it, Crowd funding is Amazing! Learn these social media sites, what I mean by that is buy up to date books on each one and study hard, Social media is becoming a major part of music now and it is were all of your fans go everday of there life. Get your very own website, there is nothing more important than your own Website. Play live as much as you can and practice practice. Get your music on ITunes and all major sites once you have a finished product of course. Focus on your top 1% fans and treat them like gold, they are the ones who can take you and your art to the next level. Surround yourself around people who you can learn from, and make you better sometimes that means hanging out with people who may be better then you, at least for right now:) I try to always learn from other artist and producers, only so I can become the very best I can be also. Don't be afraid to share your music, with online radio, tv movies labels, managers etc or anybody who is willing to take a listen. Don't worry about rejection its the only way to get to where you need to be, I get rejected all the time, I just smile and say who is next to hear my great music. It is important to believe in your music and be confident, with out being to big headed of course. Buy the Indie music bible it is an absolute must for an artist. treat this like your going back to school but this time its to take on the world with your great sound. work your butt off, its the only way to stand out in this sea artist, Act like you have to do this by yourself and you are never going to get a record deal, If you build a large enough fanbase your self you may catch there attention
