Bobby Lindstrom / Press

“This guy plays guitar like English is his second language, the absolutely most fluid natural guitar player I ever heard, maybe Keith Richards in second place by a hair, for just plain understanding the language and sayin' things without the mediation of the verbal reflective level of mind anyplace in sight.”

“Local rocker keeps busy with several gigs each week. When Bobby Lindstrom was 10 years old and living in Coos Bay, his older sister’s boyfriend enlisted his help in deciphering the lyrics to The Kingsmen’s version of “Louie Louie.” “He comes roaring through the door with the 45 of ‘Louie, Louie.’ ‘Bobby! Help me figure out the words for this!’” Lindstrom recalled Monday at The Astro Lounge, moments before taking the stage with Ed “The Whistler” Sharlet and percussionist Chris Novak. By the time he was 11, Lindstrom talked his father into buying him a $14 Westbrook guitar. “This is sh*t nobody remembers but the fools, and Bobby Lindstrom is a guitar-playing fool. Looking For Somebody, off the very first Fleetwood Mac album, by Peter Green. Actually the album is named Fleetwood Mac, but this tune is a guitar masterpiece, and totally Peter Green, with the delicate-to-ripping progression of techniques. And our dear sweet Bobby Lindstrom does it, in my view, even better. This was the second song of the first set that night at the Tonic Lounge, there wasn't anybody there but me and the drummers dad and his girlfriend and the guy behind the PA from the house staff. That's the real sh*t, right there, when the guitar player digs deep and plays his heart out for nobody, just to play, and play heavy and play light and right when nobody knows. That's why Bobby is the undiscovered genius that he is. Its the heart, man, the heart.”

"The astounding sounds of Bobby Lindstrom makes the soul crave for more! The pure, raw talent of this guitarist/singer/songwriter surely does not go unnoticed. His on stage charisma is nearly untouchable, and the positive vibe output to his audience is easily recognized. Bobby is a pleasure to work, and share the stage with. This guy eats, sweats, and bleeds music!... An all around, true professional musician!" - Derek Michael Marc (singer/songwriter/drummer)
