Billy Brown started playing in punk rock bands in the late 80's. These bands were pretty terrible. Eventually he played in bands that were less terrible, some might even say good. These bands include SHOOT THE HOSTAGES, CRASH AND BURN, DEADLY SINS and ASHERS. Over the years he has toured extensively in North America and Europe with a lot of well known bands that are probably in your record colle...ction, providing that you have good records. He also filled in on guitar for THE UNSEEN on occasion as well as THE PINKERTON THUGS. His first solo record “BEST OF TRAGEDIES” was co-produced by Shawn Harris (THE MATCHES, MANIAC) and features lots of people in more successful bands playing various instruments. This is not a punk record, but more of a melancholy acoustically-driven record. The songs cover such lighthearted topics as death, addiction, self destruction, and self loathing. It's great music to wallow in self pity with, in the dark by yourself Billy Brown enjoys the following things - labels that don't sign a ton of bands and try to promote the ones they do. Clubs that have a nice green room with a locking bathroom. Free drinks and food. You get the idea. One thing Billy Brown is not fond of is writing in the 3rd person. Actually I'm not fond of bios in general. Thank you for your time. Davey Quinn of Tiltwheel, International Dipshit, Everready, Dan Padilla, Discharge, Bohse Onkelz, etc. will be belting out songs in the vein of Reggaeton, Kraftwerk & cross-stitching. Said to be the first human able to play a mash up live. We've also got Dave Decker held hostage from Florida. Being held hostage until they incorporate a burrito into their state flag.

“Thursday, April 28, 9 p.m. Billy Brown, Joe McMahon at Empire Boston artist Billy Brown of the bands Deadly Sins, Ashers, Unseen, and Crash & Burn is in town. He’s doing an acoustic solo thing only Godzilla could conquer. If you haven’t seen Billy Brown, you haven’t seen justice. But, if you need more encouragement, Joe McMahon of the band Smoke or Fire is tagging along like a lonely child in a Richmond Juvenile Justice Courtroom. Then if you still feel you should stay at home and watch Wing Chun, just remember this—If Shaka Smart went to one show this year, it would probably be this one. Tattoos and dandelions go the goose, but my Yagerbomb is tastier than yours. Price at door; 21+ Billy Brown www.reverbnation.com/billybrownmusic Joe McMahon www.last.fm/music/Joe+McMahon ”
