“GODSIZE 10TH ANNIVERSARY plus BELCH POP FRENZY & TIMOTHY PARKES KATIE FITZGERALD’S, STOURBRIDGE I’ve witnessed many a packed night at Friday night’s Dark Blue Boogaloo at Katie’s, but this one really was, as a good friend of mine would say, “rafters”.... Stourbridge favourites Belch Pop Frenzy follow quickly, getting the crowd moving with their blend of humour & good old New Yawk style (punk) rock ‘n’ roll. The references are certainly all present, right down to vocalist Dave Clinton’s Iggy-esque stage persona (tonight being topless, shades on, spray painted gold torso, feather boa & leather trousers), but this is not to say they’re a comedy act – they’re far too good to be dismissed that easily. The songs are taut, raw & loud & go down a storm. They’ve been together in this ‘guise for the past few years & are simply begging to be noticed. If you’re a fan of this style like myself, see them. Brilliant.”
