Jose Guerra aka "Beatwalker" started his musical journey in Texas in 2002. After joining the Marines In 2006, he was introduced to the eclectic and soulful city of New Orleans. There, he started DJ'ing at various well-known clubs in the area including Ampersand and Republic, which are both known for regularly featuring internationally known artist. He has also headlined for the show Dirty Beats, which packed 500+ shows. While moving only for a short time to Tampa, Beatwalker made himself known by regularly DJ'ing various shows in Tampa, along with other various cities including Orlando, Port Charlotte, Worcester, and Providence.
Beatwalker has produced in the genres of Electro, House, Progressive and Dubstep. His latest single broke into the Top 20 Beatport House Releases at #15 and was recently supported by Skrillex. His first single 'I'm Coming Home' was played in concert by hip-hop artist Sam Adams and he has had several of his remixes played on XM/Sirius radio. In January of 2014, Beatwalker's EP 'Sometimes' made the Top 10 on Beatport Progressive House Releases on his own label Downfire Productions. His Electro collaboration with Michael Medina was also a Beatport Top 20 and was featured on Chuckie's Dirty Dutch Radio. Currently, he is residing again in New Orleans where he is still producing, remixing and managing his own label Downfire Porductions.
