“I love me some indie rock. My predilection to indie rock is its own article, trust me. But you’ve got to draw a line somewhere. Rogue Wave is not a bad band, but they’re not doing anything I haven’t heard before. They’re very low-energy, paint-by-numbers indie rock that doesn’t do anything that blows me away or strikes me as particularly original. I mean “Publish My Love” is a nice little ditty, but, let’s be honest, Rogue Wave isn’t exactly Botticelli. Rogue Wave is just a naked prostitute... My apologies to Bear Crossing for missing their opening set for this metaphorical burlesque show. I’m told bear Crossing is a hard-working and genuine local band and I regret that I was too late to show my support.”
