Bass Line Bums / Press

“Bass Line Bums (Austin) rock their asses off on stage as commander and chieftains to an all out party punk gaiety event”

“Splatterhouse artists, Bass Line Bums come in with three great tunes, all of which are on their DIY first release. The Bums have a new album on the way, titled Gettin’ By, set for a 20 January 2012 release. Hailing from Del Rio, Texas originally, Bass Line Bums now call Austin their home. The punk style of Bass Line Bums is comparable to early Adolescents, and use simple chord combinations and a straight up vocal style in delivering fist pumping punk rock. Out of the three songs, “Do What You Want” is definitely the faster paced anthem, while “No Regrets No Tomorrow” slows a bit, and touches on the theme of not looking back, having no regrets, and living life to the fullest. ”

“The band’s music, lyrical skills, and enthusiasm bring Bass Line Bums to the forefront of independent punk bands. While some people consider punk bands merely screaming with banging and clanging, Bass Line Bums goes back to punk rock played in the early ’70s and ’80s. That collaborative attitude and zone the band gets into once they have begun playing pushes their live shows to the edge. Bass Line Bums tries to inspire the audience to get into the music and then the two feed off each other, just having more fun as each cord rips through the air.”

“Pure Energy!”
