Basca is a heavy metal band from Cuenca, Ecuador; in 1997 released "HIJOS DE ..." his first work with songs that composed since 1993, after an extensive tour, they come to becoming the most recognized band of Ecuador, this tour released their second album "HIJOS DE ... En vivo" (1999) as well as participating in the national bands compilation CD "ECUADOR SUBTERRANEO" (1997) and "ZONA DEL METAL" (1998).
In 2000 released their third album "TIERRAS NEFASTAS" and following the departure of several members started a new tour around the country, take the lead again on the radio and venues in the country.
The 2003 are part of the compilation CD "NIVEL EXTREMOl" and "LA HISTORIA DEL ROCK CUENCANO" which present new songs.
Later, in 2006, they released their fourth album "RESUCITA", one of his best music production, musical composition with great lyrics. They tell their personal experiences and discuss the latent social problems: poverty, abandonment of children, the system, the problem of migrants, the message is reborn from our inner strength and hope to be saved but not resurface and seek change with a positive attitude.
His last work published in 2008, "BASCA", is a double disc limited edition for the anniversary of the launch of "HIJOS DE ..." in 1997, compiles their first two albums "HIJOS DE ... TIERRAS NEFASTAS "In the same year he edited DVD "RESISTIREMOS" that collect the most significant songs.
Have been nominated and awarded major awards of its kind in the country for consecutive years on radios and magazine specialized country music, so by the Municipalities of several provinces. In 2012 Basca was recognized as the best rock band of Ecuador by MADE IN ECUADOR Awards, also was awarded with Fame Star located in the Walk of Fame of C.C. EL RECREO, their music sounds in Mexico, Spain and several Latin American countries.
