“Atrium was formed in the Lisbon area by long-term friends Rui Godinho and Carlos 'Caito' Martins in 2003.They were influenced by bands such as Genesis, Yes, Camel, Pink Floyd and Pendragon. Atrium released 'Let Me Dream' in 2008 and the ambitious symphonic/prog rock album '2011', was released in the year that gave it its name. Seven tracks over one hour offer up some epic tracks which progsters will relish. Currently, Atrium are playing live and have already recorded two new tracks - 'Sintra, a Place in the New World', and 'Zig Zag of the Great Wall' for their next studio album. These have been issued on the EP Places, a nice little sampler of what is to come on their next album due for release in 2013. If you are looking for a new band to get in to then Atrium could well be the answer.”

“ATRIUM describe themselves like sympho-progressive band. Well, it’s an accurate description. These Portuguese guys are sensitive players of wonderful kind. Their self-titled release is of surprising quality. All compositions are retro-sounding, lush and complex (with many structural changes). Quite obviously, Atrium draws inspiration from the ‘Golden 70-s era’. The use of dynamics and softness, instrumental breaks, musical depth and variety of vocal melodies can satisfy the prog purists. http://www.myspace.com/atriumprogpt If you’re a fan of such bands as Genesis or Camel, this amazing album will be throughout enjoyable and probably spend a lot of time of your CD player.”

“The music on 2011 mostly moves in the direction of neo-progressive rock music influenced by native folk music from time to time. This combination works out very well on the seven tracks of the album. Especially the acoustic guitar parts provide for a traditional touch of folklore. The neo-prog style of 2011 strongly tends towards the music recorded in the eighties by bands as Marillion, Pallas, IQ and Pendragon. This neo-prog style can mostly be heard in the guitar and keyboards parts. Fine solos on the guitars and synthesizers indicate that the musicians master their instruments.”

“I can't believe that we're only three months into 2011, as so much superb music has been released already, and this episode showcases just a few of them. (...) 12. Atrium - Final Trial (11:00) from 2011, 2011”

“Storica formazione neo-prog portoghese, appena uscita col nuovo album, semplicemente intitolato 2011.

“Dear Atrium, Congratulations on your CD release 2011. We checked it out and would like to help you promote this CD. We especially liked the track 5. Final Trial .”

Com à vontade e sem mácula, encerraram a prestação, interpretando «Great man», dedicado a Leonardo da Vinci, recebido com expressiva satisfação pelos fans.”
