When a group of international graduate students in music at UGA pooled their talents and cultures to form a band, The Athens Tango Project was born, taking listeners on a delightfully different trip to another part of the world. The band’s current members include an upright bass player from Argentina, a pianist from Brazil, a vocalist from Nicaragua and a violinist from Poland. Their music is inspiring and authentic as they share a passion for music that is rooted in other cultures, a great fit for the increasingly diverse community of Sandy Springs. - http://patch.com/georgia/sandysprings/winter-heritage-classics-return-sandy-springsSave
