Asylum Black / Press

“Asylum Black sit at the slow and sinister end of dark-electro with subtly experimental formula that breaks and flourishes of aggrotech. The whole effect sounds like a mixture of early Skinny Puppy and Psyclon Nine. While it's hard to imagine that the slow pace would give rise to a dance floor hit, there's still an appeal for old school electro-industrial fans.”

"Asylum Black hit the stage, and I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing of a show it was. Jonah is only 16 years old, and his vocal prowess is right up there with the best in the scene. The talent this young man has simply astounded J and myself. His stage presence, the vocals, the sheer control over the crowd for someone so young. It’s amazing. This was Chris’s first show in the band and I’m so glad he’s now a permanent fixture of Asylum Black. He brings the sound to the band. A master of the keys, and once he loosened up a bit, actually quite a damn performer! If you have not seen these guys perform you really need to. The guys give off a creepy, chilling vibe during their show. Once they bring out the severed head it’s the end. Chris lurks in the background like some devilish fiend while Jonah twitches, and screams like some crazed serial killer. They are simply pure awesome. I cannot wait to watch them grow in the scene and will be able to proudly say I was there."
