REOG consists of 4 individuals from different locations on the planet with unique musical backgrounds, converging in Los Angeles with the same vision and belief. Together, their colorful histories, commitment to their crafts, and spirit of camaraderie make up REOG with a sound that will certainly energize the minds and tweak the ears of America.
Taking the name from an Indonesian traditional dance that tells a set of stories about moral struggles, REOG's lyrics portray the mechanism of human minds that can never adhere to an absolute standard of good and evil, right and wrong, or black and white. The same mechanism also influences the synergy of REOG in their songwriting process, creating a distinct personality of music.
Having Sammy and Duan at the helm of this musical entity, they set out to be the modern day melodic duo Everly Brothers or Simon and Garfunkel, combining melodies on both vocal and guitar works, creating memorable symphonies; while Jeff and Hadeem relentlessly keep the rhythm section marching on. Influences from the bands' heroes include: X-Japan, Guns and Roses, Everly Brothers, KISS, Metallica, Arch Enemy, Luna Sea, Megadeth, Marty Friedman, Thin Lizzy, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Motley Crue, and many more.
REOG's songs are very unique in having generous amounts of friendly melodies. This will impact listeners in a way that Pop fans would instantly be able to get REOG's catchiness as well as heavy metal fans.
Having solidified its foundation for more than 6 years in Los Angeles, REOG has now reached its maturity stage. With their new album called "For the Flowers" as a catalyst to reach a wider spectrum of audience, they are ready to make you sing along and rock your world.
