Ave. Rockers have been spewing out a classic blend of punk rock and ska (inspired by the great Rancid, US Bombs, The Clash) since 2006. This Corpus Christi, Texas punk group has been through its share of heartache, drug abuse, alcoholism, excessiveness and countless members. These days, Avenue is home to Luna- vocals, Danny G.- guitar, Roy G.- bass and Rudy D. on drums. "While we still love to party, throughout the years we've also learned to love and embrace the music and are finally taking this band to the next level", quotes Luna. The band has had its share of opening for national/ international acts and in 2013 they were embraced by Pandora.com, FM radio stations in New York/ Texas and did 3 shows in Mexico City. A very successful Summer 2014 East Coast Tour and a 2015 West Coast/ Mexico Tour can also be added to their credentials. The West Coast Tour landed Ave. Rockers in a comedy skit for The Jimmy Kimmel Show in Hollywood where the show is filmed live. The tour was based around their invite to Shawn & Mark Sterns’ (BYO Records/ Youth Brigade) 17th annual Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada- where they played the main stage along with Rancid, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Dropkick Murphys & Jello Biafra & The GSM to name a few. All this success off of one album (Damaged & Dangerous) released in 2013, their 2nd album, “Letters From New York” is yet to be released. In July 2015, Ave. Rockers will be supporting The Svetlanas (Moscow) on the Texas leg of their tour and in Sept. 2015 are venturing back to Mexico to do 4 dates. They are a slowly rising band for the world wide punk rock scene and are huge fans of the original punk rock design- catch them when you can!!!
