Siberia My Sweet / Bio

Siberia My Sweet adds post-punk sprinkles to new wave architecture, creating a sound steeped in opposites, as the name implies. Reviews have wrought comparisons to bands like Blondie, Duran Duran and Metric. Vocalist Kelly Andrews has been described as having “…a voice that carries a tune with the likes of Shirley Manson of Garbage and Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs" (BeATLanta).

Former GigMaven featured artist, Atlanta’s A-List called Siberia My Sweet “One of Atlanta’s most underrated bands.” The group has performed for several notable events and conferences, including Dragon*Con, Atlantis Music Conference and Atlanta's Digitainment showcase. Siberia My Sweet has also been featured on televised programs that include Comcast’s Music On Demand, Musician’s Voice and Hank’s Garage (UTM Studio). They’ve showcased during SXSW music week in Austin, played Atlanta’s Little Five Points Halloween Festival and have participated in several charity events, including a recent Criminal Records benefit, 500 Songs for Kids, Unity Artist Project and Southside Music Festival.

November 2010 saw the release of Siberia My Sweet’s debut record, Alone EP (available digitally at iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers, and physically at local record stores). The band is currently recording a six-song EP that is slated for release in March 2012.
