Slow Dance Killers / Bio

Matthew Mini (guitar), and Duffy McKenzie (bass) grew up together in Hyde Park, New York. They attended the same high school and while taking a guitar class there they met Corey Losee (drums). They shared a love for good soulful classic rock and metal. In the mid 90's, after high school they all migrated to the SF bay area where they began jamming and seeking out other musicians. Their musical tastes broadened and around 2002 Jake Miss (guitar) joined them. It wasn't until 2009 that they became an official band. In the time between they were playing a lot and forming the foundation of what would be their debut album. Bam Vox (vocals) joined the band in mid 2009 and laid down clever lyrical vocals over their explosive brand of driving guitar riff laden rock. While the band has been working on its music the members also lead very busy lives with their families and professions. The band is made up of a doctor, a computer technician, an aspiring Architect and father, a Tile contractor, and an organic grocer. One thing remains true with these guys, they love the high energy music that they play. It's obvious from their shows that they are highly committed to it and their fans.
