Known around Florida as JMB, the Jonnie Morgan Band has proven to be one of the best live bands in the state. Described as a horn infused modern rock band, it is clear that each of the seven top notch musicians share an immense passion for the music they create. Headlining the 2013 Florida Music Festival and opening up for Cheap Trick in West Palm Beach, JMB is on the rise. The band recorded a thirteen song album in 2013 that focused on bringing their live sound into the studio (available March 8, 2014). Recently touring in Texas, Georgia, North and South Carolina, the Jonnie Morgan Band is showing no signs of slowing down!
After years of writing songs throughout college, Jonnie Morgan, (rhythm guitar, lead vocals) decided to put together a band in late 2009 seeking musicians from all backgrounds and influences in an effort to form a band with a unique, yet unforgettable sound. Matthew Mill, Corey Paul and Jose Rojas, the bands trumpet, trombone and saxophone trio, feed off of each other during live shows bringing high energy hits to Morgan’s melodic tunes. Bruno Ufret’s (Drums) modern rock/reggae drumming and Brandon Sollins (lead guitar) shredding licks on lead guitar elevate the band’s unique sound. Jeremy Adams (bass guitar) is working on his Masters degree in composition at USF, and has been working with Morgan since 2008 to find the right musicians for the sound they wanted to create. Years later, JMB is better than ever, promoting and pushing their original sound for the world to hear!
