Rising star Elijahawon Perrin, also known on stage as Young Smurf or The Prophecy, was born on February 23, 1989 in the Hall of Fame city, Canton, Ohio. Having dreamed of becoming a musician at an early age, he was highlighted on the front page of the local newspaper for his dancing & rapping skills, and for gaining a significant following on Youtube. Steadily building his name and experience in the game, he has over 100 videos with viewers from all over the world, also drawing fans to his Reverb page where he's ranked #3 on the Rap Charts for Ohio (reverbnation.com/youngsmurfs). In the studio he's an engineer, and has credits as a singer, songwriter and rapper.
Having performed locally in many venues in Canton, Ohio, Smurf has also blazed the stage in Texas, Chicago, Atlanta and Mexico with many major artist such as Ginuwine, Twista, Shawty Lo, Young Buck, Playas Circle, Bizzy Bone, Ray Cash, Trina, Wiz Khalifa, Dondria and Stalley. Smurf is no stranger to the stage quickly gaining respect at each stop with high energy performances and clear cut wordplay painting a picture for the crowd to see - and nod their head to. Smurf has also had local radio play on Q92 and V-103 with Mark D.
Smurf has been on the grind. At only age 22 he has already released 9 mixtapes, and he's working on his tenth. His latest mixtapes entitled "I Demand My City Vol 1 & 2" with production from Jaymes 'Thr3efourteen' Ball of Mega Beat International is on the streets right now and his first album "Moscato & Music" is set to release in fall 2011. Expectations are high for this first album; it demonstrates his personality, creativity and versatility. Smurf has a strong working street team behind him ("Motivated") giving him that extra edge so he can focus his attention on the music.
