Grey Mourning / Bio

Grey Mourning is a rock/alternative/metal band based out of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Originally a Misfits-esque horror punk band, a change in musical direction was in order following numerous lineup changes. Hearkening back to the spirit of the early 1990's grunge era with their emotional and passionate music, insightful lyrics, and tight hooks, Grey Mourning will have you singing along to choruses, thrashing your head to the verses, and putting the pedal to the metal in your car.
With the assistance of Matt Liptak (ex-Gryn, ex-The Feens) on drums and Dan McGann(Pangaean Sky, Coitrton) on lead guitar and backing vocals, a full length CD is in the recording process. "Between Darkness and Light" will be released late 2011/early 2012. For the time being, check out some of the demos on the ReverbNation page, or download the lead single, "The Numbing Effect."

In just a short time since the March 2012 release of "Between Darkness and Light," the guys in Grey Mourning have been creating quite a buzz, playing numerous acoustic gigs and coffee houses, and promoting the album via various online outlets. Grey Mourning has also been featured on Hazleton OurTownRadio, Rok Out Radio, Talking Trash Radio, and Hip Rock Magazine. More shows are in the works as we speak.
The guys heading into the studio to record an EP with all the band members involved that will include re-recordings of select tracks from "Between Darkness and Light" in August 2012 at A Street Studios in Northumberland, PA. The EP will be released in the summer of 2013. In the meantime, feel free to pick up "Between Darkness and Light" from iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, CD Baby, and other various outlets!
