From their first performance on the streets of Frederick, Maryland, to the bigger stages at The Fillmore, Rams Head Live, The 8x10, and more, The Knolly Moles (TKM) have garnered the respect of local music fans, and have caught the attention of venues, promoters, and media.
While their music can be described as 'alt rock', their live performance is nothing short of a party that is about to have the cops called. Their mix of in-your-face high energy jams and introspective ballads keep fans tuned in at all times. Their writing is multi-dimensional and lends itself to rock, blues, punk, funk, and reggae. This has lead to many great opportunities for the band including direct support slots with G. Love and Special Sauce, Lucas Nelson, Ballyhoo, Blind Melon, and more.
The bands 2014 EP release, 'Melancholy Bob', has been selling out at their live shows, and there are plans to continue recording new material over the coming months. Look for a full length TKM release in early 2015.
TKM will do what it takes to make the show happen. Recently, for a showcase at Rams Head Live, the band filled a charter bus with 50 fans from the Frederick area so that they could bring the party to Baltimore. They maintain all of the requisite marketing channels and are working towards their first tour… whether a DIY approach or as support for an established act.
The Knolly Moles continue to grow as a band and musicians, and are poised to take the next steps in the evolution of music acts, including a record deal, touring, licensing, and greater multimedia exposure.
