THE LEVINS ( pronounced The LeVINNs ) "The Levins speak to our better selves with their crystalline harmonies and uplifting lyrics."- John Platt- WFUV-FM
Ira and Julia Levin play harmony-driven acoustic music that celebrates our common humanity with a lighthearted depth. They seek to connect on a universal level without skating over the complexities of life. From world folk to folk rock with wistful overtones from the 1930's like The Mamas and the Papas having coffee with Cole Porter- The Levins are dedicated to making the world a happier place.
Original tunes, guitar, piano and voices -a full sound with unexpected harmonies and unique arrangements. It's Happy-Folk, Smile Pop….

and in November, we were honored to perform at the 2015 NERFA DJ Showcase...speaking of which....
...In SingOut! Magazine, long time host of WFDU-FM's Traditions, Ron Olesko, wrote about us and his experience at this year's NERFA and the DJ Showcase
"John Platt, host of the Sunday Supper on WFUV in New York City presented local favorites, The Levins.
I really hope their music will spread beyond the tri-state region during the coming year.
Their infectious sound is centered around their exquisite harmonies and the positive messages of their songs.
With a world in crisis, we need these messages to boost our spirits and bring a smile to our faces.
So with Ron's words, we move into 2016....with renewed intentions, compassion for this world and gratitude in our hearts for all of your love, energy and support that you've shown us on this very wonderful musical journey. We'll drink a cup of kindness yet....
With love, Julia and Ira / The Levins
