The Tryptics / Bio

The Tryptics are an indie rock duo based in Brooklyn, NY. Combining heavy synthetic and organic rhythms with a dynamic fusion of rock and electronica, and enchanting melancholic vocal melodies. Their music delivers a moody yet powerful “trip” with a revolutionary message calling for reflection and action in humanity.

Daniel Imaña and Charles Preston began The Tryptics together in New York City during the summer of 2009, subsequently producing and releasing a self-titled EP that same year. After a two-year hiatus, The Tryptics took some time to find new inspiration and write new material. They found a new home in brooklyn where they recorded, produced and mixed their debut album, “Awakening,” (released in Dec. 2013) which reflects a solid, more focused sound, delivering a soulful message of spirituality with an existential twist.

As the band prepare to take the stage in 2014, they are assembling their team in preparation for the "Awakening" tour (dates TBD).
