August Ruins / Bio

August Ruins was formed in 2009 mixing 90s Southern California pop punk with new and old school metal / hard rock. From day one we have set out with three primary goals, write, record and tour, and of course have a blast while along the way.
We have independently released 2 EPs, a full length and another on the way. Our first EP “The Ghost and the Gasoline,” was produced and recorded by Anthony Santos at Killingsworth Recording Company in Long Island, New York. Our second EP “Headlines,” was produced and recorded by Brian Mcternan and Mike Schleibaum at Salad Days Studio in Baltimore, Maryland. And our latest release “Momentary Victory,” the groupsʼ debut full length was produced and recorded by Don Debiase at Studio D in Cleveland, Ohio.

We have performed all over the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas and performed with many National acts including, The Flatliners, A Wilhelm Scream, The Holy Mess, The Menzingers, Veins of Jenna, Jackʼs Mannequin, and old school punk rockers The Adicts and The Misfits. We play anywhere, anytime and with anyone period! Words to live by “you have a garage or an amp will play anytime.” -Rancid
