Doris Brendel, a singer of rare talent and pedigree, has released her 7th album 'Not Utopia' in July 2012, following the highly acclaimed album, The Last Adventure, in 2010. The daughter of famed classical pianist Alfred Brendel, her distinctive vocals were the driving force behind the 1990s alt-rockers The Violet Hour, and twenty years on Brendel is forging ahead with a renaissance of her multi-genre, unique rock/prog inspired trademark music.
Brendel has been signed to Sony, London and Virgin and is now exclusively supported by Sky-Rocket Records. On top of her 7 albums she had sung on several dance records, inc. top 40 hit JJ tribute, with the dance EP of Latest Fantasy reaching no.9 in the Club charts in 2011. She has also had several song-writing commissions including the theme tune for the film 'About Her' and the Reunite Appeal's 'Emily's Song.' along with numerous film and album sessions.
