Jimi Ray began playing at the age of 17 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida joining an acoustic band, Fiasco, with Steve Minotti. In 1978 Jimi moved to New Orleans where the music scene was booming. Starting a 4 piece band called The Danger Boys as a lead singer/ ryhthm guitarist, which included George Neyrey (lead guitar), Robert Simmons (drums) & Rick 'Freddie' Bordelon (Bass). Jimi also released a 4 song EP 'Revenge of The Monsters' with The Famous Monsters. In 1984, Jimi Ray headed to Los Angeles and joined K-38 with future Porno for Pyros guitarist Peter DiStefano. K38 released a 2 song EP "For Those Who Listen/Local Boy to critical acclaim. Jimi also played bass as Jimi Ray Raffey in Raff Sanchez' band The Raffeys. Other bands Jimi was a member in were: The Honest Liars, 4 Skins Minus One, and Casual Labor. Jimi Ray was included in the 1992-93 edition of the Marquis Who's Who in Entertainment for his many achievements and contributions to his field. Jimi now lives in Winter Park, Florida and after a decade of musical slumber, he has began writing and recording once again in his digital home studio.
