My early music influences were wide and diverse, ranging from classical to 60/70s’ pop and rock.
I kicked off my music career performing with several groups before recording my debut solo LP “A Proposito di Me” on Italy’s CBS label. Promotion for this album included appearance on the popular “Disco Verde” and “Festivalbar” TV shows.
In 1982 I participated in state RAI TV’s “Tre Voci per San Remo”. I reached the finals along with the song “Questo Fare a Meno di Te”.
In 1983 I participated in the prestigious and internationally famous Sanremo Song Festival with the song “Scatole Cinesi”.
I then signed to Italian label Durium in 1983 and released the single “Certi Giorni”. Later, in 1987, I recorded the album “Naufragando” released on the Italian indie label Clou Disque. I followed this up with the album “Alessio Colombini” in 1989 on the same label.
I composed soundtrack for the video encyclopedia “Gioia di Conoscere” published by the De Agostini multi-national firm in 1992.
I signed to the record label “Radio Italia Solo Musica Italiana that same year and released the album “Ci Sono Momenti”.
In 1993 TV presenter Gianfranco Funari contacted me to record the soundtrack music for his daily show. I also performed in the show by composing and performing songs that reflected the news of the day. I made regular daily appearances until 1998.
Since then I toured and performed my own show BEAT GENERATION. I presents a musical trip through the 1960s’ – generations without boundaries. I remember dates, songs, moments and highlights of those special years with acoustic guitar and harmonica. I sing songs of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Animals, Loving Spoonful and more!
I always found time to write songs...and in those years I worked with English lyricist David (Dave) Stansfield for a number of years for product on the international market.
David, who was founder of the cult acid/folk band Moonkyte, lived and worked in Italy writing for a number of magazines and newspapers including Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter...this was a few years ago...now my lyricist is Tony Liotti...a dear friend who lives in London..
Now I would like to play and sing my songs everywhere.
