Souls of Rebellion was formed by Lead Guitarist/vocalist: Dan Chrzan. In 2009, he quit his previous band and wanted to stay heavy and stuck to his guns by writing some ass kicking, heavy edged, melodic rock songs that ended up on the self titled debut EP in 2010.
Those songs were recorded from the summer of 2009, through the winter of 2010 at Acorn Digital(Farmingdale, N.J.) and Squirrel Ranch Studios(Hamilton, N.J.) with very talented studio musicians.
In early spring of 2010, "Don't trust Your Eyes" was the 1st single released and it received airplay on various internet radio stations. The debut self-titled 5 song EP followed in June of
On September 6th, 2011, the self-titled debut album on the internet only. The album consists of 8 tracks including the successful 2010 single, "Don't trust Your Eyes" as well as the single, "Don't say it, Just do It", released in the summer of 2011. "Red Baron" also got some respectable airplay too.
On March 9, 2013, Dan Chrzan decided to put this project on indefinite hiatus, but it didn't last too long. After the encouragement of fans, friends, some family and of course his wife, Dan decided to resurrect S.O.R. In August of 2013, Dan met future bassist of S.O.R. Joe Chick at a Megadeth concert in Camden, NJ.
After a few tweaks in the personnel department, Dan and Joe auditioned
drummer Brock Soucie. Brock surpassed all expectations and passed the audition on Memorial Day weekend in 2015, solidifying the lineup. The band rocked the rest of the year by playing shows in Atlantic City and New York City. They were also able to spawn a few new songs in between. They started 2016 by playing the legendary Brighton Bar in Long Branch, NJ with "That Metal Show" host Don Jamieson promoting the show. Then, they opened up for the Philadelphia Flyers at The Wells Fargo Center, which might be the pinnacle of their short history. With a live radio show at Stockton University and many more accolades like the Raceway Park show and a new cd in the works, there is nothing stopping this heavy metal Juggernaut!
