Machinery Cell / Bio

Deciding to finally put the music in his head out in the world, Jesse “Drummer” Robinson released a solo project, Cordyceps, in 2009. A year later, he started writing another album. Perhaps a spin-off of Cordyceps, Drummer recruited a permanent singer and renamed the band. A bit more advanced than his initial material in guitar riffs and vocals, the band began playing what they call Wrong Note metal.

The band is entirely about spreading their music; it's not about money. It's about doing what they have to do to stay sane and hoping that other people get something from it, too. Machinery Cell released “Against Our Better Judgement” in August of 2010 and found more success from it than they anticipated. They began playing live sets, mixing material from both Cordyceps and the new album, and then began writing a follow-up album that better met their own expectations of themselves.

Machinery Cell will release their sophomore album, “Question Everything”, in late spring of 2012.
