Tryenyse (sounds like Denise) is as unique as the spelling of her name, this up and coming female singer/songwriter sweetly blends the current flavors of R&B, Hip Hop and gospel into a beautiful package that the world is waiting to open! Tryenyse is from Minneapolis Minnesota and grew up singing in church and in a very musical family all of her life. She knew at the age of 8 years old music and songwriting would be a natural way to express her emotions, the good and the bad after a childhood incident on the playground sent her home questioning her worth and her identity. “I came home crying and telling my mom that a young kid called me a chocolate shake, and I was devastated, (referring to the fact that she was African American) I can laugh about it now but at the time it was very painful”, I went home and looked and inspected myself in the mirror and the lyrics began to flow and that was the first song I wrote, it was 4 lines called “Nobody Loves Me” and mom said it was the best thing she had ever heard!” so there you go I am now a singer, writer and I love it” I love to express things, thoughts, words in a way that the average human being young and old can understand. I want to introduce God to the world through my music in a way that allows them to reflect on life, who they are, who God is and how we all were created for a specific reason or reasons. My lyrics are honest and heartfelt and reflect much of my personal life experience, and me but also translate to the human experience.
Tryenyse has been actively, singing writing, performing, recording with groups and as a solo artist for years and is now coming out with her first full solo project “Resilient” ”This project explains me, the album, and the process of getting this album completed, in essence it has taken 10 years! I have had to be resilient in all cases, we all have to be in order to survive” Tryenyse attended McNally Smith College of Music and received a degree in Music Business and started an Independent music company/label that helps educate and promote other artists in her local community and beyond. Two of her strongest passions are summed up in music and working with young teen girls, she has established a group (Abba’s Girls, non-profit)) through a hip hop church that her and husband Stacey Jones pastor together that promotes holistic health and healing for teens girls in her community.” I realize that most if not all negative choices that I made were made because I didn’t understand the purpose I was created for and I didn’t understand how much I was worth, I want to let girls know how special and beautiful, and smart they are and help them have a foundation upon which they can make healthy life choices and live up to their full potential as God’s daughters. This project is just the beginning, I am passionate about communicating to humanity through music and I pray that my music will go to the ends of the earth and God will be glorified through it! Tryenyse is married to Stacey Jones and they have a son Priest that is also already following in his parents footsteps.” My son is a full fledge drummer, singer, writer, dancer and he is only 3! We are preparing him to take over when it’s time for our focuses to shift! Tryenyse also has a desire to write for other artists as well and hopes that this project will provide opportunities. “ If there is anything that I can share with artists out here it is that if you have been given the gift of music, be thankful and use it to bring recognition to God, to help people, don’t compare yourself to others "if you don’t do it the way God designed for you to, someone may miss out on a special blessing, “DO YOU”! The way He created you, your style, your flavor, the world needs all kinds of styles that’s why God made us all unique to reach as many people for Him as possible in many different ways”
“ Tryenyse speaks to the heart of humanity and its longings for meaning and purpose, a voice that the world has been waiting for” Relevant music infused with hope!
