BILL REID likes to talk about himself in the third person. People hate that. He's been playing & writing music since before you were born. His solo performances are finger-style blues & Americana, at places like Luckenbach, Austin's Cactus Cafe, and other listening venues in Texas, Nashville, and elsewhere. When he's really lucky, he gets to record with some of the best that Texas and Nashville have to offer (Bill Hullett, Glen Duncan, Clayton Ivey, Denis Solee, Tommy Wells, Dow Tomlin, Mike Douchette, Vicki Carrico, Etta Britt, Brian Collins, Eddy Anderson, Chris "Superman" Reeves, Ron Knuth, Tony "Little Sun" Glover, Christine Albert, Mike Blakely). They usually play & sing loudly enough to keep him from screwing it up. (Look up these folks and their other music on the Internet.)
Bill's 2010 album, A Place Inside My Heart, with his award-winning title song, was nominated for a Texas Music Award. The 2011 album, Country Blues and Story Songs, got two Texas Music Award nominations and Bill performed at the Awards. The 2012 CD, Songs for My Family, is full of his original songs for and about children. The latest (2013) release from Bill and The Fewer Sorrows Band is Blues for Lost Dreams, with liner notes by Grammy(R) board member Christine Albert (listen to samples on this website).
