If you understand the influence of “The Band”, then you know what "The Pink” is.
The idea is to take a Fab Four setup, 2 guitars, base, drum and arrange a Tom Petty type sound. Once in a while add a piano or organ and sprinkle with harmonies. Then you have the sound of Budspink.
When I was seven years, I was the fifth mop top. When John died so did my mop. After Young’s Gold Rush and finding the Tea for the Tillerman, I picked and grinned my way to San Francisco for Uncle Sam. Wanting a flower in my hair, I discovered Haight-Ashbury and watched the lights go down in the city.
In 1985 I moved near Luckenbach, Texas and had Bell Bottom Blues. Percy was sledging and bluesman Albert King played to me. As the Years Go Passing by, I revisited Highway 61. At Heaven’s door I had a few Wild Nights and ran into Van the Man. The King was inside.
And of all these friends and lovers, I loved them all.
