The Second Generation / Bio

The Second Generation is a rock band based out of Albany, N.Y., and southern C.T. They have been compared to many artists of different genres including: Kings Of Leon, Incubus, Dave Matthews Band, and Radiohead – just to name a few. Although playing an alternative style of rock music is what they aspire, continuing to always have good energy is their main priority. “We’ve been playing music together for around five years, but have been friends since before we could walk,” says lead singer, Brian Hewitt. The first generation started years ago, when Brian’s father became friends with Tamer and Emre’s father back in high school. Together their dads formed a band, which continued for 5 years. Beginning in December of 2009, the Second Generation came together formally as a band. A few short months later, they started playing shows at The Space, The Webster Underground, Lilly’s Pad, Savannah's, and the Altamont Fair to build a fan base and get their music out to the public. With a unique song-writing style and focus on energetic performances, The Second Generation is sure to make a splash in the Connecticut and New York music scenes.
