Miss Keys, born June 3 1990 in Hampton, Va started her singing career at age 5 when she stepped on stage to perform her very first solo. As the years went on she began to write poetry and train herself to play the piano at age 12 by listening to Alicia Keys and Beyonce Knowles amongst many other artists. She would spend days at a time learning to play by ear and eventually picking up the guitar, drums and violin. She spent most of her middle and high school years learning to read music and recieving vocal training.
When Keys was in her junior year of high school she formed a gospel group called Reborn Spirit. The group was mainly an al cappella ensemble consisting of three singers, in which Keys wrote and arranged every song. The group recorded their single " Oh My God" in 2007. The group lasted for two years and diminished in the spring of 2008.
In the fall of 2008 Keys began a modeling career that would eventually connect her to Rocstars Entertaiment. Between modeling and singing she almost seemed to live in the studio. Her first collaberation was with Lil Chevy on "First Night" (84 to 64) in the summer of 2009, where she wrote and sang the hook.
She then went on to enhance her craft. Keys recorded about fifty songs between features, remakes, and original music. Working with local producer Clint Easewood and mogal Ty " Prince Hakeem" Callahan, Keys and Prince co- wrote her hit single "Traces of My Make Up". Once the song was completed she began shooting her music video April 2010.
She also performed at numerous places including Roctars Ent. Single release party and Va's Unity Tour where she shared the stage with local artists such as Kenny Wray and B. Michelle. She is currently working on her mixtape entitled Break Up to Make Up and awaiting the release of her video to be aired BET and MTV and her single to released via internet.
